Friday Fun Day!
Friday Fun Day in second class room 22. The class had a great time at their pizza party and playing board games together for their Fun Day to celebrate all their hard work during their communion year!
Measuring Mania!!
We had great fun in Ms McSweeney’s second class this week learning about length and how to measure. We enjoyed some exciting maths trails both inside and outside the school and we had a lot of practise with rulers and metre strings! We hope you enjoy our photos!
We love science in 2nd class!!
Here are some photos of just a few of the science projects we have worked on this year. Recently we learned all about different types of storms. By carrying out lots of researching, reading and drawing we worked together to create some great projects. Have a look at our facts about tornadoes, thunderstorms and hurricanes.
We also investigated reactions by creating our own volcanic eruption. We learned about the science behind the eruption and learned that when acids like vinegar mix with baking soda an explosive reaction occurs. We had so much fun watching the volcanoes explode!! We may have some scientists in the making here in 2nd class!
