Happy Talk is a Speech and Language Initiative which runs in Junior Infants every year. Aoife O’Shea is our Speech and Language Therapist. She runs exciting and innovative workshops for Parents and children. The children greatly enjoy their parent’s involvement and interaction with Happy Talk. The initiative helps develop children’s language skills and also highlights if Speech and Language Therapy may be required for their child. We play games, sing songs, chant rhymes, work with puppets and even have make and do sessions! Parental involvement is key to the success of the programme and parents really enjoy coming together socially for the benefit of their child’s language progression.
